Juke Box Jury – check out this new feature. It’s SO MUCH FUN !

We get sent a lot of demos here at Tummy Touch HQ and I thought it might be fun to share some with you. Welcome to the debut of Tim Love Lee’s Juke Box Jury Here’s the first one and it’s from NYC band Nova Social. I think it’s a hot and pulsating Eurotic storm trooper of a song but I’d love to know what you think so complete the poll at the end and leave some comments why don’t you….

David, the singer in the band, came by the Two For Tennis Show a few weeks back and is a very very nice man so please be nice about his music. I mean, how can you not love a song about becoming a nun ??? If you dig it there are loads of songs to download on their web site

What do you think of this song then ?

The Dead Weather – Cut Like A Buffalo.

I’ve been trying to stop myself from posting this all week but it’s so dammed good I’m just going to have to. Jack White was handing out a few 7″s while I was spinning at The Gramercy on Monday and some drunken punter left their copy on the floor at the end of the night so here it is. Seems that DJs care a little more about records than models do. Maybe Jack should remember that next time he’s making free and easy with the promos….

Remember – this is a low quality recording. You really need to buy the single or go see the band playing live to hear this the way it’s meant to be heard. You can also buy this on iTunes if you’re super geeky.

Turner Cody big hit with nude celebrities. Again.

We had Jack White and Nick Cage in on Monday night at The Gramercy Park Hotel this week. When I dropped this new track from Turner Cody a definite “I fully endorse this artist and urge you all to go buy his records” kind of expression came over one or both of their faces. I’m sure of it.

Turner Cody wins Grand Prix in Cannes.

Well, not quite, but Jacques Audiard’s new movie “Un Prophete” has just won the Grand Prix at The Cannes Film Festival and Turner’s track “Corner Of My Room” feature prominently in it. Now that’s what I call a spin. Check out the song below.

And now download this free five track country music EP Turner did a while back.

Dyanmo Dresden conquers LA.

I just got back from a trip to LA to play our new stuff to all the sunny califolkians we work with. The surprise favourite was Dynamo Dresden, Tara Bush’s old band. They’ve split up now but even when they were together their music barely got released. Tummy Touch will be making this stuff available very soon but in the meantime check this unreleased demo they did.

Two For Tennis – 5th Birthday Broadcast

Thanks to all of you who listened to our 5th Birthday Broadcast last night on East Village Radio. I can tell how much fun I had by the number of cake stains I found on my trousers this morning. Blimey. You can stream the show right here for the next few weeks. Or you can even download our special 5th birthday DJ mix when you join our Facebook Group.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band – 15 to 20 (Instrumental version)

I met Daniel Collas via a post on Craigslist for some Wurlitzer electric pianos I had renovated and was selling. He didn’t end up buying one but I consider myself blessed to have met this ace dj and producer, and his equally ace partner Sean Marquand.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band is their latest project (to which I contributed the vital synth filter tweaking skills so badly needed by this otherwise awesome band) and this is an un-released instrumental version of their first single.

If you’re not living in the USA you can download the single from iTunes here.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band – 15 to 20 (full length disco mix)

Hmmm. I see I am the world’s worst blogger ALREADY. Oh blimey. OK, to make amends here is a track I really shouldn’t be posting at all. Naughty me. Hope you dig it as much as I do.
