Coco Electrik busking in the Bronx.

Here’s the always great Coco Electrik doing a very kooky cover of Milkshake.

Their new single Shine A Light is released next week and you can hear it on last night’s Two For Tennis show on East Village Radio.

Juke Box Jury – check out this new feature. It’s SO MUCH FUN !

We get sent a lot of demos here at Tummy Touch HQ and I thought it might be fun to share some with you. Welcome to the debut of Tim Love Lee’s Juke Box Jury Here’s the first one and it’s from NYC band Nova Social. I think it’s a hot and pulsating Eurotic storm trooper of a song but I’d love to know what you think so complete the poll at the end and leave some comments why don’t you….

David, the singer in the band, came by the Two For Tennis Show a few weeks back and is a very very nice man so please be nice about his music. I mean, how can you not love a song about becoming a nun ??? If you dig it there are loads of songs to download on their web site

What do you think of this song then ?

My second favourite radio show.

The amazing Crazy Girl has uploaded a new episode of her really mind mending radio show to Brooklyn Radio Dot Net.
Check it out here: Eclectic Crazyland – Episode 49 – The Jimmy Dean Sausage Mix!

“Ladies and Germs -
I’m back again with a new show and new tunes to tickle your ears! I went out and paid 30 GBP for the Opal cd – Happy Nightmare Baby, released on SSt records in 1987, it was never repressed and not on itunes, but worth well the money!!! Just immerse yourselves in the psyche beauty of their track – Magick Power!!!  Gary Glitter, how ever evil he may be, sure made killer music with his band, and I think you’ll agree when you hear their cover of Baby Please Don’t Go. I had to play the second track of side one of John Cooper Clarke’s first ep. When you hear his song Innocents you’ll see where Arctic Monkeys got their influence from. Plus another track off my new fave band – Heavy Load’s album – Flashing Lights, not a Screaming Lord Sutch cover, but equally brilliant. Also Brazil’s number one Rock Star ever – Raul Seixas – with Rock Do Diabo. This track is killer and 100% rock and roll!!! And who knew I was his daughters baby sitter???? Plus the best rock song ever in the history of Rock and Roll and the first rock song that got me to want to make music, it was written by Paul Williams of all people!!! And was performed by The River Bottom Nightmare Band!!! If you have seen Jim Henson’s “Emmet Otters Jug Band Xmas”, then you’re already in the know! Think Alice Cooper performed by menacing puppets!!! Plus much much more!!!”

Turner Cody wins Grand Prix in Cannes.

Well, not quite, but Jacques Audiard’s new movie “Un Prophete” has just won the Grand Prix at The Cannes Film Festival and Turner’s track “Corner Of My Room” feature prominently in it. Now that’s what I call a spin. Check out the song below.

And now download this free five track country music EP Turner did a while back.

Two For Tennis – 5th Birthday Broadcast

Thanks to all of you who listened to our 5th Birthday Broadcast last night on East Village Radio. I can tell how much fun I had by the number of cake stains I found on my trousers this morning. Blimey. You can stream the show right here for the next few weeks. Or you can even download our special 5th birthday DJ mix when you join our Facebook Group.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band – 15 to 20 (Instrumental version)

I met Daniel Collas via a post on Craigslist for some Wurlitzer electric pianos I had renovated and was selling. He didn’t end up buying one but I consider myself blessed to have met this ace dj and producer, and his equally ace partner Sean Marquand.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band is their latest project (to which I contributed the vital synth filter tweaking skills so badly needed by this otherwise awesome band) and this is an un-released instrumental version of their first single.

If you’re not living in the USA you can download the single from iTunes here.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band – 15 to 20 (full length disco mix)

Hmmm. I see I am the world’s worst blogger ALREADY. Oh blimey. OK, to make amends here is a track I really shouldn’t be posting at all. Naughty me. Hope you dig it as much as I do.
